Catalog Memory

Memories and information are stored in the brain like files in an office. Stacks and stacks of irrelevant bullshit stored right next to stacks and stack of useful knowledge, however they are rarely confused. Unfortunately, there is no governing form of organization like alphabetical order or topical arrangement, but the thinker is still confident that after flipping through pages and pages of bullshit they will come to the idea/image/fact/etc they were looking for.
Person 1: "I love looking at leaves in the fall."
A person with Catalog Memory: Flips through the molecular process of photosynthesis, looks at the person, thinks about where their shirt was made and what language those people speak, imagines having sex with person 1 and where they would do it, thinks about photosynthesis again, then finds a memory relevant to the original comment. After about 10-20 seconds, person with catalog memory says: "My family and I used to take a road trip down the river every year. We'd stop at a bunch of parks to look at the leaves."

Memory card

In terms of memory cards, there are many different types but they all do the same thing; store information. They just save your stuff. Whatever "your stuff" may be, pictures, music, documents, etc. It's just a small piece of plastic, with a tiny little computer part inside that knows how to keep your stuff when you tell it. Then, you can take that little card with you and use it on other computers and see the stuff that you saved.
Granted, if you've saved certain types of documents, like word processing or spreadsheets or any other type of document that was created with a specific type of software, before you can view it on another computer, you have to be sure that that software is installed on the next computer you use or else you wont' be able to open the document saved on your memory card.
If it's just pictures or certain types of music, then you should be fine. So just to sum it all up, a memory card just keeps your files safe for you and makes it possible for you to take those files with you where ever you go. Neat huh?!

This can be an icredibly overwhelming topic to learn b/c of the many different types of memory cards available. Stick with it though and only read about the cards you want to learn about.

Memory Recovery

The process when you forget the password (trigger) you have to login (remember) into your email/username/profile/account (memory), often because you need to either:

1. Recall someone's email/username/profile (remember whom someone is when you're talking to them).

2. Flag their Youtube account (cursing out someone/something you know/remember and hate for whatever reason).

3. Send an important document to someone (getting your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse a gift so that they quit blogging you).
Arthur: Douglas! I need you to Jumpstart my memory!
Doug: ...I don't think a computer game is going to help you remember things!
Arthur: ...Douglas, if life were a cheeseburger, you'd be the pickles: essentially garbage!
Doug: Can we lay off the burger jokes already?!
Arthur: Ok, here's the deal: I have an old phonebook full of names and phone numbers.
Doug: So what's the problem?
Arthur: I can't remember the phone number of the particular John Smith I want to call, because otherwise I'll wind up calling all of them, and going through an awkward conversation with each of them.
Doug: How many John Smith's did you know?
Arthur: One hundred and forty-eight!
Doug: ...I was afraid of this! Deacon warned me this might happen!
Arthur: ...beg your pardon?
Doug: It's like doing password recovery, except it's for your memory!
Arthur: I don't care about this 'memory recovery', we best get a move on! Let's start with something simple, like his favorite shampoo brand: that I do remember about this certain John Smith! It's like playing Monopoly!
Doug: I think you mean Trivial Pursuit.
Arthur: I thought that was Monopoly?
Doug: Monopoly's a board game involving money with an old man on the cover and a Scottish Terrier as one of the game pieces!
Arhur: Oh yes! I remember that game: I hated it, because you either go broke, sent to jail, or find yourself the winner: at the end, you end up with absolutely nothing, except feeling depressed and cheated!
