The dog featured in the doge meme is a Shiba Inu named Kabosu (かぼす in Japanese), born on November 2nd, 2005. She is currently 16 years old, a great accomplishment, considering 16 human years is equivalent to 80 dog years. So, to sum it up: Doge, an internet meme that sky rocketed in 2013 and died down overtime. Based on a real Shiba Inu named Kabosu, or かぼす in Japanese.
