Beefer

A colloquial term for an Emergency Ambulance used by almost exclusively by Firefighters. It is a term evolving out of Meat Wagon. Unlike other Emergency Ambulances, Beefers are missing vital switches to turn off the strobes outside homes and hospitals, this is to Aid in the rapid mobilisation to the next call.
