Paternoadultism can take several forms: the patronizing "you're young enough to be my child" (implying inexperience), the prescriptive "adults do X" (defining maturity by conformity), or the dismissive "when you're my age you'll understand" (positioning age as wisdom). It's a power move dressed as experience—using years as leverage, age as authority. Like other -isms, it stereotypes and dismisses based on a category (age) rather than engaging content.
