smoke detector

A device in your house that beeps when it detects smoke. It goes off when your toast starts to burn. Every house should have atleast one smoke detector.

If you don't have a smoke detector it would be a good idea to get one.

radar detector

A device that can be installed into your car. Use it to easily spot cops within a few miles depending on the quality of your radar. Highly illegal in most states.

With out my radar detector, I would have had my license suspended by now.
