A town in Bergen County, New Jersey neighboring towns such as Palisades Park and Cliffside Park. The population of the town comprises mostly of typical suburban families as well as senior citizens wishing to live in a quiet environment. However the real bullshit starts when you meet the youth of the town. Unless you enjoy extremely arrogant kids who talk shit and think they are urban thugs, you best stay out of Ridgefield. Sure, they'd probably shit their pants and cry the minute they step into an actual urban environment such as Camden or Newark, but that doesn't stop them from bragging about how tough they are and how much better they are than you.
Ethnicity-wise, Ridgefield is full of stereotypical white kids and Koreans. If you're Latino, Indian, Black etc., don't be surprised to be stared down by every other person. If that doesn't sound pleasing enough wait till you meet the cops who are so overly cautious that they make you feel uncomfortable.
Entertainment-wise, Ridgefield is as competent as a deaf DJ. Unless sitting on your ass all day excites you, you won't have much fun in this town. Your best option is to head to the nearby town of Edgewater, where you might actually have a good time
Bottomline, the town is boring. Similar to Secaucus, there may be a cool kid here and there but most of them are annoying little shits.

Three friends are talking.
Union City Kid: "What's Ridgefield? My parent's said I'm moving there."
Hoboken Kid: "It's a town close by. You've never heard of Ridgefield NJ?"
Union City Kid: "No, what's it like?"
Jersey City Kid: "I was almost arrested for sneezing."
Hoboken Kid: "I was called out by a white kid whose balls haven't even dropped yet."
Union City Kid: “Kill me."

Get the Ridgekin mug.The ultimate posh semi-rural New York City suburb. Very conveniently located to anywhere. Although the immeadiate area is somewhat sleepy. You have an awesome mall to the south (Bridgewater Commons) and a worldclass stellar mall to the northeast (Short Hills). The richest town in NJ (Harding) is to your north and super rich Bernardsville is to your west. The schools here are tip top notch from K - 12. The town is 79% white with the rest being mostly Asians who mainly live in the "Hills" section of town. The downtown is quaint, yet small and semi-usefull. Great access to NYC with two train stations in town. Hopefully this town stays as it is. It's built out, but the demographics are perfect besides maybe there being a little less asians and a few more blacks and hispanics to make up for it. THIS IS THE IDEAL TOWN.
Basking Ridge Kid1: I feel insecure knowing them Bernardsville and Harding are richer than us.

Get the Basking Ridge mug.A town that is unheard of. It contains white people who think they're ghetto and emo. AKA: posers. Most of the kids in the high school are losers.
John: Where do you go?
Lauren: Wood- Ridge high school
John: Oh, so you're an emo whore?
Lauren: Yes, that's right. I can schedule you during my 20 minute lunch on Wednesday. That'll be $100.

Get the Wood-Ridge mug.Where I'm from. People from outside Bergen/Hudson/Passaic counties constantly confuse it with Woodbridge, which sucks because we're maybe 1/10th the size and none of our mayors have ascended to the title of "faggiest state governor in American history." Lots of little white emo kids, usually Italian, Irish, or Polish with parents who grew up in Hudson County or somewhere else nearby. Also originally home to Frankie Muniz and that pigeon lady, but I think she's supposed to move out by next year? Far from the ghetto, but farther from the rolling hills of suburbia in upper Bergen County. Solid middle and/or working class for the most part. The entire west side of the town is an industrial dump bordered by a nice little wooded area where you can go drinking but they're putting a goddamned strip mall with mini McMansions and a middle school in there now.
Wood-Ridge is a small town with a lot of old people and a lot of emo kids. Wesmont sucks though, Curtiss-Wright was a great place to go get drunk and do shit.
