negging

To put someone down or express negativity or criticism toward someone, usually in a joking or sarcastic manner.

Related to, and generally interchangeable with giving you a hard time, or to put on blast, though 'negging' is often used retroactively to express that the criticism went too far and was received as a put down.

person 1: hey sorry for negging you earlier, I was just giving you shit because your shirt was inside out. I didn't really mean it when I said you were a dork.
person 2: it's ok, I just wasn't feeling very good that day and I didn't think it was very funny, sorry for snapping at you.

Negima?! Neo

The revamped (and redrawn) Negima series. It's contains more action and less fan service then the original episodes. It was received with both criticism and praise because of the fact that there are many inconsistencies with the manga and original anime series. It is still rated to be one of the best received series in the fall lineup and has a new subbed episode released every 1-2 weeks.

A few (of the many) differences of Negima?! Neo are:

Negi wears a wrist bracelet (which was supposed to be his fathers)

Sayo is introduced much earlier in the series than in the manga or first anime.

In the manga, Takahata can't use magic. In this new series, he's a mage.
