Sides o'er your back

It is an old irish saying meaning to be fed well enough to become fat. Ex: Your sides are fat enough to cover your backbone.

Man: Aye lad, have ye got your sides o'er your back yet?
Boy: Yes sir I have eaten my fill.

Side eye

Giving somebody a side eye and actually starting a fight with somebody are two different things.

The guy/girl could give somebody a side eye all day long and still nothing happens, so there isn't much point in saying I'll do this if this person does that if nothing has happened yet. It's just another person trying to get a reaction out of somebody, the same way they do when they call somebody a name other than their first name.
