The act of grabbing something (usually at a fast speed).

Thought of as the opposite of yeet, but with equal force.

When you are are a big strong human picking up dangerous creatures with your bare hands while wandering around some place with dangerous creatures, you say "yoink" while doing so to reduce resistance, and assert your dominance as the top of the food pyramid.
