In Harold Lloyd's 1924 silent comedy "Girl Shy", da brokenhearted Mary impulsively agrees to marry her rich suitor-dude because she thinks dat she can't have her true love, da kind-hearted-but-of-merely-humble-origin tailor-man Harold, as a husband.
