White trash work ethic

Self-delusional banter from uneducated, obese white males; which describes all of the "things" that one is going to do, should do, and has to do. In reality, these "tasks" are either delegated to a spouse, significant other, friends or children - or not done at all. A typical venue in which this To-Do list is discussed is while sitting down, drinking beer and/or chewing tobacco.
White trash work ethic example:

Person 1: "Next week, I'ma gonna hafta moov all deze boxes out of the living room, den I gotsta haul all dat trash outa da garage, put in dat new batroom, and maw da lawn."

Person 2: "Really? You're going to do all that by yourself? Your such a go-getter! Is your wife going to wipe your ass for you again and do it? Or are you going to pawn it off on one of your friends? You're such a fat, lazy leach of a shit."

Bitch Work

Commonly used to describe work that is given to lower level employees to keep them occupied for hours at a time, usually assigned by managers or higher level employees who are either too fat or lazy to complete the task at hand themselves. This type of work is mostly found in restaurants and retail stores.
McGee was too busy sitting on his fat ass talking on his cell phone, so he decided to hand his bitch work over to one of the cashiers who was busy helping a long line of pissed off customers.

workaround

(noun) A set of steps used to compensate for or avoid dealing with a systemic problem rather than fixing it.

Typically used in regard to computers or industrial work-flow.

The term "workaround" implies that there should be a quicker, more efficient, or otherwise better way to accomplish things. But also that such improved methods are unavailable due to some circumstances beyond the control of those directly involved.
Computers:
It's been noted that Version 2.5 can not read the files normally produced by Version 3.1. The workaround typically used to solve this problem involves saving the file in an unusual format then manually changing the file extension.

Work-flow:
He was by far the most inept and inefficient person on the team, but the details of his contract made it prohibitively expensive to fire him outright. So his co-workers invented elaborate workarounds to avoid having to deal with him, effectively making his job unnecessary.

Social Work

The professional activity of helping individuals, groups, families, organizations, and communities to enhance or restore their capacity for social functioning and to create societal conditions favorable to their goals. Social work requires knowledge of human development and behavior; of social, economic, and cultural institutions, and of the interaction of all these factors.
Social workers use their knowledge and skills to provide social services to clients, as defined by the National Association of Social Workers. They help people increase their capacities for problem solving and help them obtain needed resources, facilitate interactions between individuals and between people and their environments, make organizations responsible to people, and influence social policies. One common misconception of social workers is that people believe that most of them are "baby snatchers.” People don't see the services provided by social workers, the families social workers have helped, or the children social workers have saved, or the parents that come back to thank the social workers.
