similar to a withdrawal from an addiction such as smoking or alcoholism, selfie withdrawals occur when a young girl has not taken a picture of herself for an extended period of time.

Either from lack of attention on social media sites or simply the insatiable need to take a selfie, she will likely begin showing symptoms with the phrase: "Wow, I haven't taken a selfie in awhile."

"She used to post pictures all the time, what happened?"
"I bet she's going through selfie withdrawals."
