Paper-to-cast, often used within a film/literature context, is used to describe a quintessential portrayal of a cast as depicted by its respective characters in a book or vice-versa if 'paper' and 'cast' were interchanged.

Wow, the characters in the 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid' book and movie are paper-to-cast!
