A Caucasian ally, companion, or compatriot accompanying a non-white person or a group of non-white people (mostly Black or Latinx, but really any shade darker than white); who interacts with law enforcement on behalf of the non-white friend, group, or carpool; acting as the threshold between his/her friends and possible police brutality and violence.
Ideally, the white friend appears as non-threatening to police and is a smooth talker. Sometimes, he/she will be subjected to some abuse, but normally not to the extent that their non-white friends statistically and numerically would experience from the same police officers for similar alleged infractions (however, the white friend could still very much wind up killed, so it can be extremely dangerous).
It is highly recommended for a non-white person living in the United States to have a trustworthy white friend for safety reasons.

“Dear lord, Tarik! How did you manage to get away alive after that traffic stop with the burned out taillight? I’ve seen some BAD things from the police in Syracuse, Minneapolis, Portland, et al..”
“Well, Jeremy was my white friend driving the car, and he told the cop that it was getting fixed for inspection on Thursday. Jeremy also mentioned visiting Germany a few years ago, then the cop only gave us a warning and we drove off.”
“Hold up. Jeremy talked about visiting Germany, and the cop just let you guys go??”
“Yeah! I asked Jeremy why he brought up Germany like that, and he explained that every fascist cop ALWAYS geeks out about Germany. With their interests in Nazis, the Holocaust, and whatnot.”
“That’s fucked up, Tarik. But I’m glad you’re okay. And Jeremy seems like a good white friend to have.”

A friend who is great and fun at a distance, like in another state or on an online networking site like facebook. But not quite as much great fun when up close and personal, like in your every day life, or over for diner with your family.
I have an old friend online whose jokes keep me laughing, and has good advice. But she lives so far away, it seems she'll never get to meet my family! She'll have to be a Monet Friend.
I was so excited to run into an old neighbor until I saw her social networking page. She seems to be hookin these days. She got demoted to Monet Friend and won't be invited for diner anytime soon!!

The act of shading or talking badly about a close friend, to someone else. Most probably because they're acting stupid.

Behaving politically correct, cordial, harmonious or amicable toward an unlikeable individual you don’t approve of.
My boss delegated a team project to me and ole girl—I had to act all glader & friends with that bitch Stacy!
We all attended my boyfriends holiday kiki. Joey and I were all glader & friends.
The Obama’s had no choice, but to be all glader & friends with the Trump’s during the inauguration festivities. Michelle was like: I had to be all glader & friends with Melania in front of the cameras.
Norm tried using Christina Ms. Ladybug Gilmore as collateral to broker a peace deal. I had to be all glader & friends to find out his true intentions .
I have to be all glader & friends with my bully cause I don’t want to get punked.

Never claim to be "just friends" with a hot friend, if you don't want to make your partner suspicious. Better say they're your friend.
- Who did you go out with last night?
- With Sean. You know we're just friends, honey.
- Oh, really?
