An incredibly misused word stemming from black Twitter that became mainstream in early 2020.

The actual definition is an asshole who only sympathizes with females and female problems just to get pussy, and will throw other guys under the bus to look good. A simp has no commitment to a bro code. The type to say "Hey man, that's not cool, leave her alone" to you so that he looks better in the girl's eyes. Not a compliment in any respect. Basically a white knight with more confidence.

Nowadays its meaning has been warped by white teens on TikTok and Twitter into being any person fangirling over another person, donating money to people on the internet, or doing/saying anything nice for his/her partner.

The new wrong definition became popular because of how much TikTok teens recycle ideas and jokes.
