The store that is single-handedly killing emo and goth styles. Cookie monster and Fred t-shirts aren't either of these styles nor is ANYTHING else in that social media market they call a store. The only thing that could be considered emo/goth is their music collection, but bands like Blood On The Dance Floor are making sure to fuck things up as well. Though if you are going for that "super awesome and totally not retarded" scene look, you have come to the right place.

Person 1: Anyone else remember emos and goths from back in the day, when they actually meant something besides lots of makeup, crying, shit music and shopping at Hot Topic?

On someones note on facebook:
guy #1: Hey, anyone wanna get something to eat?
guy #2: Naw, i'm not hungry after reading about aliens taking over the world.
guy #3: No way!!! What were you reading?
guy #2: I was reading (insert book name here). Its so graphic.
guy #3: Sounds like a good book!
guy #4: Its kinda like (insert similar book here).
guy #2: No. Its not even close.

hot topic

Hot Topic is a clothing store just like Hollister or any of the other stores in the mall. Some people think that it is where people go there because it gives them "cred" in whatever little social group the buyer has been labeled in. I personally have been labeled in several groups which none of them are true to who I am. It is true that the prices can be a little outrageous at times but those who really like the clothes are going to be willing to pay for their favorite clothing. Hot Topic has all kinds of stuff and also stuff for everyone, even if you are in a specific clik.

I go to Hot Topic when I have time and a few dollars. There stuff is of high quality and last for a while.

Art that is based on a particular theme or item of current interest to society. The theme or topical item is usually trendy or transient. Typically, topic art is portrayed as being creative, but really, it is not at all original. Considered a juvenile art form. While it can describe art that is good, topic art is more generally a derogatory term.

Mark: "You mean you tie your mom's garbage together then bring it back into the world as art. I'm an artist too: you're a shithead so let's recycle your throat into a turd-sleeve."

A place for posers or someone (like me) who just wants a danm shirt not a bunch of wuss emotistical shirts for bands such as fall out boy and panic at the disco, because there singers are pussies.

as already said the equivilent to abercrombie in fitch but for "unconformist" goths and emos. hot topic is meh
