When two or more people come from the same region or area, but find themselves in a different region or area, they can then refer to each other as region brothers.
My friend and I are both born and raised in the same region, so I guess you could say that we are region bros.

They also insist on bragging how tough they are by “telling a motherfucker”, especially when confronted in a Chili’s parking lot. A key symptom of having the syndrome is saying “yup” or “mmhmm” when another Regional affected by Regionaltism says “yup” or “mmhmm.” They also have folktales that will top any story being told, at any given time, about any topic. These stories range from wining State, pulling a gun on someone, to heroic tales of gallantry on the battlefield while serving in the Air Force away from the frontlines. Being a Regional can be cured but very few people can beat the disorder.

Northwest Indiana is comprised of Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton and Jasper counties in Indiana. This region neighbors Lake Michigan and is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Northwest Indiana is the state's second largest urban area after the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
There are some misinformation definitions of Da Region on here, so w saying it's only the Northwest corner of Lake County and that Porter and La Porte Counties are not. That is false as La Porte and Porter Counties along with all of Lake County are Da Region. Northern Lake County is the heaviest path of it but lots of industry along the lake in La Porte and Porter Counties.
La Porte County is the founder of Da Region. From 1832-1835 La Porte County existed and held jurisdiction over what is now Porter and Lake Counties. La Porte County Heads devised a plan for the areas that are Porter and Lake Counties.
Also, The Chicago Lake Plain, which covers the whole present day City of Chicago, covers most of Lake, Porter, and La Porte Counties. So, God created Da Region as Chicago.
