Name

Urban Dictionary's signature importance in cultural society, but that gives it too much credit.

While a name is a faux-birthmark, UD writers seem to think that your name defines who you are. Essentially the only purpose of names on this website is to give an ego-boost to anyone who searches their own name up and to buy it as a mug.

Example 1: "Dude, I just wrote something great about myself on Urban Dictionary under my name!" the man said gleefully. "Go fuck yourself", the other replied, fully aware this person is ruining the Urban Dictionary website (as if it had any sort of reputation anyway).

Example 2: "While, the, name is a faux-birthmark", a man spoke to himself, as he wrote up the definition of 'Name' on Urban Dictionary in order to appear meta and hip. In actuality, nothing he has written in the last 3 minutes has contributed anything to society and will probably never be seen.

A type of meme where it shows videos of kittens with the caption, “This cat is named How to Make <illegal/suspicious item/substance>, search their name on Google to find more cute photos!” It is usually found funny due to the question, “Would someone really fall for this?”

“Hey, Skylar, look at this cat,” Milo told him before he showed Skylar an image of a cute kitten.
“Wow, that is a really cute cat,” Skylar responded.
“Yeah, its name is How to Obtain Plutonium 239, look it up and you’ll find more photos,” replied Milo.

(Milo was saying a specific version of the meme, “This cat is named How to Make <illegal/suspicious item/substance> look their name up to find cute pictures!”)

(1) A title used in speech to refer to a specific entity.
Apparently, most users registered on Urban Dictionary have this bizarre obsession of forging definitions about people's names.
And 40% of the time, their definitions are true.

(2) A verb which is used to give an entity an identifiable name.
