Nonsense that people from California latch onto in order to feel unique. While it is typically used in front of nouns to emphasize said noun's particularity, the only word hella truly belongs in front of is copter.

Get the hella mug.Hella came from the Black Panthers in Oakland, Ca. in the early 1970's. It was used in place of "hell of" meaning to "have an excess of". Most commonly used to describe the level of badness something may have. Today it can be used by everyone who wants to describe how good or bad anything is.
"That A's game was hella bad last night!" or "Those diamond studded boots are hell bad." or "My arm hella itches". or "I'm hella stoked!"
