When a plan is made after a night of intensive alcohol consumption and has a very low percentage of actually occuring. Called 'Pepperoni' , as this most likely occurs at a pizza place.
EXAMPLE 1:
"Urg, last night I told a guy in my class we should start a study group and be best friends. What a pepperoni promise"
EXAMPLE 2:
"Tomorrow I am going to wake up and be a better person. I am going to take care of myself, do some community service, oh yeah, tomorrow I start my journey!"
Next Day: " Yeah, that was a huge pepperoni promise.. I'm not doing any of that"

When a friend tells you to come to a party because lots of girls are coming too. When you get to the party there is one hot girl and your friend calls dibs.
Friend- "hey man, you should come to this party! There are going to be so many hot girls!"
You- go to party
Friend- "sorry bro, there is only one hot girl, and I called dibs already"
You- such an Evan Promise...

Noun. A representation made, usually in advertising, that sounds impressive, but is effectively meaningless.
Based on the claim that all toothpaste ads make, i.e. 70% more effective (than brushing without toothpaste).

They said I could save hundreds of dollars per year on my car insurance, but that was compared to someone who never shops around, and has had the same policy for 10 years. It's always cheaper to switch to any other insurance company after a couple of years, so it was a total toothpaste promise.

Obama lied when he said, If you like your health plan, you can keep your health plan.
Nah, man, he just made an incorrect promise.
