A lesbian woman that dresses in a masculine way. They almost never wear dresses, skirts, fancy earring, heels, sometimes short hair, etc. They dress how you'd usually see a man dress.

Do not refer to butch dykes as "the man" in their relationships. That is disrespectful and frankly ignorant and stupid.

"This is my girlfriend. She's a butch dyke, not a boy."
