People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The butt of many jokes and the end of many propagandized statements.
They do not kill every animal they have in their posession.
Their mission statement, " People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 2.0 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry."
Basically, it says that animals are not ours to exploit in any way.
So, no, members of Peta do not try to shove their way of life down your throat.
Most members are vegetarians/vegans.
They have had many undercover investigations that have been successful in educating the public, and exposing many animal abusers.
So, STOP RAGGING ON THEM.

A question commonly asked with answer.
“It’s almost impossible to avoid using all animal products; if you’re still causing animal suffering without realizing it, what's the point?”
It is impossible to live without causing some harm. We’ve all accidentally stepped on ants or breathed in gnats, but that doesn’t mean that we should intentionally cause unnecessary harm. You might accidentally hit someone with your car, but that is no reason to run someone over on purpose.
Meat Eater: *nomnomnom* Yummay cheezburgar.
Peta Member: You know where that came from, right? *shows packet*
Meat Eater: Wow, thank you for INFORMING me without SHOVING THAT DOWN MY THROAT.
Example 2:
Meat Eater: *nomnomnom* Yummay cheezburgar.
Peta Member: You know where that came from, right? *shows pamplet*
Meat Eater: YOU SUCK! Get away from me you Peta fag!!!
Peta Member: Well, okay then. *leaves pamplet*
Not all Peta members are the same, just like not all meat eaters are the same.

PETA, is an acronym for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, and despite what you may believe they do do all that they can to help animals. Animals do have the same rights as humans, and PETA tries to get that point across to the rest of the world, no matter what it takes. I know you're all gonna give this a big thumbs down, but i couldnt stand to see a joke made of the name of PETA one more time.
PETA is an incredible minority group, trying to do what they can to make the world much more humane.

A fantastic animal right's organisation, encouraging people to become vegetarian or vegan, improving the quality of their lives and saving animals lives.
They don't support violence, and the people who poured paint on fur wearers were extremist members who PETA looked down on.
They are not against pets, they are against breeders, as for every pet you buy from a breeder, one in a pound must die.
PETA claims to have never killed animals, unless for the shelters, as it is not possible or ethical to keep a vast majority of pets in an adoption shelter for long.
PETA rocks, always has and always will.
It is currently the largest animal rights organisation in the world, so it must be doing something right.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Maybe they DO care more about animals than humans. But its only because humans have the voice, and power to defend themselves, animals are completely defenseless. If you disagree with their intentions, you're supporting animal abuse.
Meat is EXTREMELY unhealthy for you. Causing all kinds of fatal diseases. Cancer, E. Coli & Osteoporosis just to name a few. Eat meat if you want, but don't abuse a defenseless animal. Peta is ridiculous, yet well intentioned. But that doesnt make it ok.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
an organization created by people who love animals enough to stand up for them. peta2 is a website and you can go there to research more. peta helps people to become vegetarians and learn more about the cruelty of animals, and how they should be treated better because like us animals CAN feel.

Something people like to bash on urbandictionary because they don't have the willpower nor the mercy to become vegan/vegetarian.
Joe was fat and loved fried chicken. He didn't have the willpower to stop eatin fried chicken so to make himself feel better instead of joining PETA he wrote a mean definition about PETA on urbandictionary. Now he feels better about eating fried chicken and he will continue to eat it until he dies in a few days from heart disease.

A warm-hearted and caring animal rights organization.
Very misunderstood, they beleive in total animal liberation, PETA beleives that animals should have rights just as humans, and that using animal flesh or products for food or any other use is immoral and cruel. In an ideal world pets would still exist, but they would be seen as our companions as opposed to our property.
