Buddy Guild

n. A guild in any one of various online games which exists solely to aid the guild leader and their IRL friends to progress in the game. Often there are limited or no advancement opportunities for anyone in the guild who is not acquainted with the guild leader in real life.

KATIE: I hope this doesn't turn out to be a Buddy Guild.
WAYNE: Nah; people promote pretty regularly, and there are plenty of opportunities for new members.
