Sleep Herding

A pastoralist model of sleep, whereby we catch chunks of free-range sleep as it wanders by, rather than the agricultural model we are used to, farming huge 8-hour tracts of open nighttime.

I only got 2 hours of sleep last night, but that's ok; i'm practicing Sleep Herding. I'll grabs a few naps later today, then maybe 4 hours tomorrow.

Sleep Camelling

A concept of sleep camelling is referred to stocking up on sleep hours in order to later go without sleep for longer periods. It is possible that by sleeping more or longer over a period of time, your body is recharged and recovered and is able to endure longer periods of physical endurance.

Sleep camelling is recommended before a weekend of festival fun.

Young parents are often advised to do some sleep camelling in advance of arrival of the baby

When you're about to sleep and you start talking or doing some weird shit, usually when calling someone on a late night

Drunken Sleeper: *very muffled* great Daq- yeah ok
Person A: lol are you okay?

1.) A myth, a pure concept, an idea. Many of these words have been used to describe the elusive "sleep." In my opinion? It's a cryptid. Impossible to catch.

2.) A temporary coma.

3.) Light death.

"Did anyone catch any sleep last night?"
"Nah, it's impossible!"
"Oh my god, you guys are going to die of sleep deprivation."

Something i can NEVER get to have because someone thought having homework for every single school in the entire WORLD was a good idea. The homework is always something 5 times harder than what the teacher actually teaches. Don't even ask me about the mid-term and final test. For the 12 people that think im exaggerating, IM NOT.

Me: *Doesn't get to sleep because of homework*
My mom: DO HOMEWORK NOW OR I WILL YEET YOU OUT OF DA WINDOW
