The prawn hold is the act of slumping over a defeated opponent, with straightened and tense arms so as to prevent escape.

Variations of this procedure have included:
Wriggling and occasional spooning

Hank is a brawler in Brawl Stars who is a prawn, and in one of his voicelines he says "I was prawn ready!" Which is a play on words for born ready. The community uses the term "prawn ready" for people skilled with Hank.

Person: why did I pick Hank? Because I was prawn ready!

An undesirable ex-girlfriend, ex-shag-buddy, ex-one-nite-stand, ex-partner. prawns cause an uncertain uneasiness with the new spouse even though there is no need as the ex has been discarded for reasons such as lack of spine, thick skinned harshness, lack of personal hygiene, creepy arms or legs ... ETC.
