This is done usually as a hobby, in order to live out fantasies, for drag shows/parties, or for sexual excitement. Oh and just to make it clear; TRANSSEXUALS DO NOT CROSS-DRESS, AND CROSS-DRESSERS AREN'T NECESSARILY LGBT!!!!!!
