A pizza is what you see on the floor after severe nausea when you feel ill, so you puke and throw up.
Your guts content comes from the acid stomach up and through your mouth and falls down on the floor or ground.
Even if your not intoxicated it will look like a pizza when you puke and "lay a pizza".
The effect might not be calmed down by ordering a real take away pizza the minute after, to fill the stomach.

For those in the Late Night Food and Drink Service Industry.
The Pizza Shift starts when the last customer leaves and ends when the last worker leaves.
During that time, money is counted, floors are mopped, trash is taken to dumpsters, bottles restocked, bathrooms cleaned, etc.
During these end of night duties, coworkers reflect on and tell the tales of the evening.
Bartenders tell stories of their regulars. Bouncers seeing who saw the funniest thing of the night. Kitchen staff making a snack, etc.
A time to slow down after an active evening. A brief break. A long awaited cigarette. A bite to eat. And sometimes, a round of Jägerbombs to commemorate another night.
*Also sounds like Piece of Shit*

Hutch and the Nompton Crew have the Best Pizza Shift discussions.
Jill: What time will you be home?
Jack: Don't know. Depends on the Pizza Shift meeting.
