ankle insurance

a type of insurance one would purchase before a game of basketball for when one is guarding a player who will "break ones' ankles" by crossing one up (changing direction) so hard that one falls over due to the sudden change in movement. this refers to the fact that ones' ankles have been "broken" like another bone in ones' body would be, hence the need for insurance.
