Toon Line

When working with a parade float using festooning and you are trying to create a perfect line on the parade float.

Follow the Toon Line to the end and the float will match up and be straight all around.

An alternate way of saying that line has already been crossed; saying that the boundaries set by oneself or someone else have been violated in the past in some manner.

einstein line

Einstein Line: Common vernacular of regular concert goers. The Einstein line is the front row of the mosh pit where the punters stupid enough to get caught (Hence the sarcastic allusion to Einstein) are mashed up against the security barriers protecting the artists on stage from the audience.

Has recently entered popular slang as the front row at any live concert - security barrier optional.

Wayne: "Woah Garth, check out that chic in the Einstein Line, she's lookin' pretty mashed up!"

Garth: "Like, yeah, she's like, a bonafide honey! Party Time! Let's bring her on stage man!"

Blue Line Insurance Coverage

Used in place of Qualified Immunity, the controversial legal doctrine that protects police officers accused of misconduct and violating constitutional rights.

Did you see the video of the guy being beat up by the police, while he was handcuffed? That was wrong for them to do that. Yeah, but they won't get in any trouble, because they've got that Blue Line Insurance Coverage.

There was a long line ahead of me

Da "ultimate" in acceptable excuses for why it took you so long to finish shopping, processing'delivering bureaucratic paperwork, or otherwise conducting routine business.

Telling your having-impatiently-waited family or car-pool buddies, "There was a long line ahead of me" may indeed get you off da hook as far as their venting their seething wrath at you, but you yourself will likely find it very stressful (not to mention tiring on your achy legs and feet!) to have to cool your heels in line for so long, and so in the end you may feel similarly weakened and emotionally exhausted as you would have if you'd had to "face the music" because you **hadn't** had any plausible excuse for producing such a lengthy delay in finishing up.
