1. The phrase used to describe the storyline behind David Hodges and Kelly Clarkson, also the inspiration for the song "Behind These Hazel Eyes". This includes breaking up with her suddenly for his ex-girlfriend, getting engaged within months to said ex, kissing and asking to reunite with her at his birthday party while still engaged to his ex, throwing in her face that he is engaged after being rejected, and then marrying said ex soon after.
