1. Instead of being pronounced l.o.l, it is comonly used a word and not an acronym...
(example) {loll} pronounced like roll

It is commonly used in emails or texts to make people have a fit of laughter.

2. Someone is talking to you and being super annoying so you just reply with "lol." while screaming at your pillow.

Friend: Haha I just threw away a painting that's very valuable to you, haha. Look at me go!
