Pulled a Hitler

Golfing term. It applies to golfer who finds his ball in a sand trap, or bunker and it takes them 2 swings of the club to escape the sand trap or bunker. Like Adolph, they needed 2 shots in the bunker.
Me: "Dude, Ben really shanked that ball... Then he totally pulled a Hitler"
Pete: "Do you mean..."
Me: "Yes!!! Two shots in the bunker... whatta doof"

pull pitch

To depart from a situation rapidly and decisively.

Originates from an aviation (especially military) term referring the pitch control on a helicopter, which is pulled to make the aircraft lift off. Recalls the idea of needing to get a helicopter off a pick-up zone with an enemy closing in.
The deaf kid has taken over music for this party. I'm going to pull pitch.

pull a punch

It's a boxing term, when you pull a punch you don't hit the other fighter as hard as you can.
It also means to hold back from doing or saying what you really think, not being completely honest so you won't hurt somebody's feelings.
When you don't pull any punches you are frank, honest.
Jason is a brutally honest guy, so if you can't handle the truth then you better not ask for his opinion, he can't pull a punch.
