Yes, some PETA members have the right idea about animal rights, but besides that, they really take things too far.
They've killed many healthy animals, complaining of not being able to find a home. Please explain why other animal shelters are capable of finding more homes for animals than PETA probably ever has. Infact, after you call PETA to have an animal taken away (for whatever the reason), chances are that the animal will be killed in their PETA van as soon as close your front door.
Many PETA members are hypocrites, even if they may or may not realize it.
Though not everything they say is a lie, they still tend to feed bullshit to the public and use scare tactics on children.

I am vegan, but PETA really gets on my nerves. They give a bad name for vegetarians and vegans.

this means no meat,no fur,no zoos,no leather,no eggs,no milk...

Peta is an evil group that hates you. They lie to kids, kill animals, ruin lives, just to start a list.
"Did you know that each vegetarian saves 100 lives a year? Well … 101 when you count yourself. Eating animals and animal products contributes to health problems, including cancer, heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and obesity—just to name a few..."
Out of the 20,899 animals peta has received from 1998-2006 (only counting the 2nd half of 1998, 3,059 animals total adopted) 17,400 of them were killed.
Oh yea, don't forget about "Super Chick Sisters" (look it up on youtube, BigAl2k6 has a good video of it). It makes fun of the Mario Games, Wii, uses them without permission, and doesn't even have any credits.

PETA's tax records confirm that PETA funds the terrorist organization ALF. ALF firebombs animal research labs. PETA agrees that animal research is wrong even though if it weren't for animal research many major diseases would remain completely untreatable, diabetes being just one such example.
In short, PETA is an evil corporation bent on destroying everything that makes humans happy, healthy and comfortable.

liars, whiners, and terrorists who target america's children with violent propaganda. They break the law, only to be bailed out of jail by their peers. they would rather have a child die of cancer than a lab rat from testing. PETA also targets impressionable teenagers, with advertisements that say "question authority" which is exactly what teenagers want to do. They use violent videos on the internet, with illegal, bloody footage to get people to support their cause. they violate peoples right to chose whether they want to eat meat or not. overall, they suck.
