Though the college itself may be small, the student population consists of 50% Chinese students, 50% International students and about 125% Hipsters.
Students often pride themselves on their self-supposed intellectual superiority, though science has yet to verify such notions. Recently, Macalester has extended a hand to less-representative groups on campus. To encourage beneficial diversity on campus, Macalester has recently placed attractive women on affirmative action groups.
