Latin King

Latino street gang formed in the 1940's as a social group that protected the hispanic community in Chicago. Once part of the Peoples Nation, they were the largest street gang in north America with sets from NY to Miami. In recent years police crackdowns have left the gang broken and virtually leaderless. The gang colors are Gold & Black.

Latona

A last name of Sicilian/Italian origin, based on Greek/Roman mythology. The name "Latona" is the Roman form of the Greek Goddess Leto, who is the mother to Artemis and Apollo. Around 1250 in the United States have "Latona/La Tona/ LaTona" as their last name, which makes it the 28754 most common last name in America.

Mrs. Latona is pretty cool, especially for a teacher. I just wish she didn't teach special ed!

Latin

The language spoken by ancient Romans at the age of the Roman Empire and then spoken as official and literate's language in Italy until 1700 ca. It represents the basement of most modern european languages such as Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Romanian. 80% of english words have derivated from Latin Language (ex. imput, virus, ave, pirate etc.). It is still studied in Italy in some high schools called "Liceo (Classico, Scientifico, Linguistico)". Latin morphology might be difficult to an unexpert eye, but it is quite simple and schematic :very substanctive has a declension, which is a group of similar words, and every declension has got 6 cases which express grammatical functions such as subject and complements. It is a really nice and fascinating language, though it is quite difficult to many.

"Cogito, ergo sum" - I think, therefore I am

Track-lationship

The relationship that inevitably forms during a track and field season between two participants. Can be formed by two runners from the same team or even two from different schools. Usually a very strong relationship only during Track and Field season.

Ending of said track-lationship can cause even the best runners to run horrible times in the next meets, while the opposite also holds true.

Dude, that girl that runs the 400m is soo awesome..Might have to try and start up a track-lationship.

Wow John has won the 100m and 200m conference championship two straight years..You know he's gotta be in a few track-lationships.
