hillbilly porch

A small wooden deck, typically built of pallets or other cheapy obtained wood, frequently used outside of pole barns, detached garages, or other out-buildings. A great place to drink beer (or moonshine) and admire your dogs (or chickens).

We drank beer on the hillbilly porch waiting for the NASCAR race to start.

Michigan hillbilly

A people who migrated to Michigan from the coal-producing states of Appalachia. To include: Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee. A Southern accent is often detectable in these people. Often Michigan hillbillies will have relatives in the Southern states.

hillbilly rig

Applying a temporary fix to something that has broken, or making something 'new' out of old broken parts. Common used 'parts' are bungi cords, duct tape, scrap-metal, electrical tape, super glue, ropes, old broken fans, motors, tire-rims, etc

I hillbilly rigged my computer-headset by taping 2 'broken' headsets together. One had a working mic. and the other had a working ear piece. I hope it lasts, I think I did a good job :)
