emo wannabe

An emo wannabe is usually some nerd or loser who doesn't have any friends. They go on google and look up 'emo' alot and then go buy a whole bunch of crappy cheap stuff. Like: fake converse, weird stripy arm warmers, and all black clothing. Then they get obsessed with totally mainstream 'emo' bands like My Chemical Romance or Fall out Boy. They totally redecorate their Myspace and make it all dark and depressing and talk about hate and how emo they are. And then, they post up weird 'emo' pictures of themselves. Oooh and they wear way too much eyeliner and paint their nails black. They try to attract the attention of SCENE kids and go around talking about how depressed they are. Emo wannabes usually don't end up looking 'emo' they just look like some weird scary nasty looking gothish...freak. 'Emo' wannabes also have an unhhealthy obsession with Twilight and Vampires. :D

Emo Wannabe: Look at meee! I'm so depressed and dark! And I dyed my hair all black! Lookit my black clothes!!!

Scene Kid: What the flick?

Emo Wannabe: Hey! OMG! You're emo too! Let's be friends! I looove My Chemical Romance! It helps me when I'm totally depressed and sad.

Scene Kid: Ummm...okay, first of all, I'm not emo. And second of all, I don't even listen to My Chemical Romance.

Emo Wannabe: What aboot Fall Out Boy! Omg! I love Pete Wentz! He is like, soooo hawt! I love Twilight! Edward Cullen is like, the hottest vampire in the world! I cry beccause of him all the time!

Scene Kid: Umm...I don't listen to Fall Out Boy, either. And I'm pretty sure that Edward Cullen doesn't exist. Oh and I'm also pretty sure that you're some kind of emo wannabe, gothish, freak. So...Bye!

Poser, follower, a charlatan of sorts. One who copies or immitates all or most of the aspects dealing with their idol. They may wish to have certain clothing, skills, vocabulary, etc., of their idols instead of their own. Most likely a wannabe is lacking in self confidence and is looking for guidance.

Edgy Wannabes

Those kids (9-17) who pretend to be edgy and 'cool but they're really just brats who are annoying. They find the darkest things in their closet, put them on and say "OMG Imagine Dragons iz s0 amazing and edgyy". Some even steal their mom's makeup. They then go online and dress their avatar in dark things and get into other conversations.

Edgy Wannabes are so annoying.

Friend; "Dude did you see that kid who has the terrible makeup job and ripped up leggings that they cut holes in?"

Me: "Yeah, they're such an edgy wannabe, look at those goddamn staples bent into earmuffs!"

Friend: *Laughing*

Edgy wannabe: "yo sup you like imagine dragonssss."

Me: "...."

wannabe non-conformist

somebody who hates something everyone else likes, just because they think it makes them different or non-conformist. often emo or punk kids think they are non-conformist because they dress different than everyone else, but when in reality they are just conforming to their perception of non-conformity. real conformists do not care whether something is popular or not, they just wear it because they like it.

"Wannabe non-conformist- I went into Hot Topic today and saw this prep walk in wearing a pink polo shirt. What a conformist!

Me- No dipshit, they came in because they like the store. They are true non-conformists."

Wannabe ghetto female- a female who never lived in the ghetto,but acts as if she has been in the ghetto all her life. She will only deal with males that are currently residing in the projects. She will reject her family morals, values, education, and the upbringing of self respect.

A female that grew up in middle-class suburbia decided. That her lifestyle was boring and uneventful. So she decided to start hanging out with the Misfits of her school. Her classmates that she decided we're more interesting because they were of low-income and there was always some form of hardship excitement.
