Kay, I'm sick of looking at the difinitions of how a metal head lives, that's like trying to describe how to make a cake. A metal head is someone who listens to metal. That's all there is to it. You need not to dress a certain way to be a metal head, this isn't MTV, you feckin clowns. You don't need to wear hoodies or ripped jeans and have long hair to be a metal head, you could shop at JC Penny and still listen to metal. By stating a lifestyle of a metal head, just makes it a potential fad. 'Metal Head', like any other subculture is just a title.

They tend to have short hair, and frequently wear sleeveless shirts. Drinking protein shakes and shopping at Hollister are also essential parts of the average meathead's day. Meatheads also tend to abbreviate where they live by putting the first letter of the city, and adding *town after. In addition to lacking high IQs, meatheads tend to stereotype things and people completely wrong.

Your average highschool would have four or less of them at most, seeing as most people who listen to "metal" actually listen to Alt. Rock/Nu metal. Metalheads are usually spotted by their looks. Usually denim jeans (Blue or black), band shirts, long hair/shaved hair, etc. The metalheads truely are the stupidest group of people to pick a fight with, we may be the quiet type, but metalheads could easilly wipe out multiple kids, and have a short temper that goes along with that. The metal culture however has dropped quite a bit, seeing as how the "hip" thing is to listen to rap or numetal.
Real metal bands: Iced Earth, Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Bathory, Morbid Angel, Manegarm, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Burzum, Borknagar, Emperor, Immortal, Einherjer, Finntroll, etc
NOT metal bands: Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Godsmack, Limp Bizkit, etc

Get the metal head mug.One who listens to music for it's talent. The artists may be everyone from Bach and Mozart, to Arch Enemy and Iron Maiden. They believe that the so called "Class system" and "social status" are just labels that the insecure people in society have created to seperate themselves and make them feel superior. If a metal-head weres a shirt and is asked why, they will say "Cus I like it" NOT "Cus I'm a metal-head" True Metal heads will not say such things. Generally very accepting over different ways of life with a strong sense of moral and honor.

Get the Metal Head mug.A Metal Head is a person who listens to Death, Thrash, Speed, Black, Shred, and maybe Melodic Metal. Most wont listen to Alt or Nu-Metal and will probably shun it. There is no definate set of clothing attire but most can be seen wearing some type of jeans ranging from blue to black, also most likely have on a band shirt with either long hair or a shaved head, if they have facial hair it will most likely be a med-big beard or a goatee. A common mistake is that people tend to call them Satanic because of the music they listen to, this is not true. Yes, a metal head may be Satanic but this is simply a coincidence. They often fight, mainly for one of four reasons:
1: They have been having a bad day and you get in their way, say something wrong, etc.
2: They are in a good/content mood and you do something to provoke/anger them
3: They have had anger bottled up for a while and can no longer stand it, thus lashing out at anybody.
and finally the fourth reason
4: Simply because they like to fight. That being said its generally not the best idea to pick a fight with a metal head because whether they look it or not they are most likely a good fighter. They have a tight-knit group of friends, whom they are loyal to and share a good connection with. They are educated and civil, contrary to popular belief.

A meathead will spend all his time lifting weights and generally being an arrogant prick whose goal primitively is based on intimidating other males who're often a lot smaller than them.
The mentality of a meathead is that having the capability to beat up the majority of normal sized males makes him better than everyone else and makes up for his poor intelligence.
A meathead will often make cruel/physical jokes to friends and acquaintances, meant to appear light hearted, but actually are just assertions of their power- which they'll follow by "i'm just pulling your leg" or "I was joking mate! Don't look so serious!".
Avoid these guys when they're out on the piss because they take the opportunity and pleasure to fight ANYONE. Can be identified by bulging muscles, tight tops and many girls under the age of twenty asking to buy them drinks.
