Date is a term used to refer to a something that is old or something that happened a while ago.

If something is date, it is old and often no longer important. For example, yeah the video is date but it’s still bare funny. So therefore, that’s date.

An ambush date happens when you're on a date with someone, and unexpectedly their friends, family members, or children show up, expecting to join the date and have you cover all the expenses.

I recently went on a date with a girl I met online, and she pulled an ambush date on me when a couple of her friends showed up, ordered food and drinks, and assumed I would cover the bill for everything.
