Get the dos reverse card mug.As a verb, this is when an individual uses the theme from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a lead-in to a story or conversation, often a bad one. This is akin to the idea of the Bel Air, but instead lulls the listener into a false sense of security then drops the bomb on their head. This concept was first found in the webcomic xkcd, #464, entitled RBA.
This is how a Reverse Bel Air should work:
Girl: Now this is a story all about how, my life got flipped turned upside down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you about how I became uncertain about our relationship. I think you just like having a girlfriend, it doesn't matter who. I think we should break up.
Guy: ...wait, seriously?
Girl: Yeah.
