Hill Of The Foreskins

The Hill of the Foreskins, known in Hebrew as Gibeath-haaraloth, was a place near Gilgal where Joshua, as instructed by God, circumcised all the Israelite males born during their forty years in the wilderness. This act of mass circumcision was a renewal of the covenant between God and Israel and signified their commitment to the Promised Land, occurring just after they crossed the Jordan River into Canaan.

...At that time the LORD said to Joshua at the Hill of the Foreskins: “MAKE THYSELVES KNIVES OF FLINTSTONE, AND CIRCUMCISE THYSELVES!!”

Oak Hill Strangler

The “Oak Hill Strangler” is proper nickname for the “Y” intersection that splits Hwy 290 West and HWY 71 in the southwest Austin metro area. Newer Austinites may refer this fork in the road as “The Y” or just “Oak Hill” but its appropriate name is said Strangler.
