A "second tier" public university in Ypsilanti, Michigan, Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is renowned as the number one producer of quality K-12 educators in the midwest. EMU also boasts excellent nursing, educational leadership, art, graphic design, dietetics and health administration programs, as well as most standard baccalaureate degrees. Eastern is also home to the most robust online education program of any four-year institution in Michigan, and possibly the midwest. EMU has an average enrollment of 23,000 students.
Despite its prestige in certain areas of study, the current university administration is intent on running any semblance of academic development into the ground by investing in a doomed division I football program, trading academics for (unlikely) success in the athletic arena. Recommended that you avoid until the board of regents gets their head out of their ass and realizes that Eagle football doesn't mean shit to anyone at EMU, let alone prospective students.

Texas Christian University is a private university located in Fort Worth, Texas. Home of the Horned Frogs, and LaDainian Tomlinson, aka the best football player in the history of EVER!!!! Bob Schieffer, a popular journalist, also attended TCU. The school colors are purple and white. Basically, the best private Christian school in the state!
Jenna: I went to Dallas Baptist University!
Kasey: Man, really? Nobody goes there. If you want a good Christian college, you better get your butt over to Texas Christian University!

A kick ass college. FSU is the premier school in the state of Florida. While it has managed to POWN UF and UM in every way, it has also been deemed to have the sexiest female students in the state.FSU students have often been found teabagging the shit out of UF students because they are bitches.
Bro 1: Do you go to Florida State University?
Bro 2: Yes, I do.
Bro 1: Dude, did you see Tim Tebow the other day?
Bro 2: Yeah, I teabagged the shit out of that bitch while some ugly ass UF girls were watching.
Bro 2: Yes, I do.

A reasonably priced institution of higher learning, a.k.a., "the academy on the hill." It was founded in Youngstown, Ohio (between Pittsburgh and Cleveland), as a law school in the YMCA, eventually became a state college and then a state university. It has a great reputation for many of its degrees, including engineering, physical therapy, nursing, business and education. It also has a NEOMFA and a doctorate in education. The campus is sprawling and well-attended by landscapers. The Butler Institute of American Art is surrounded by the YSU campus. Nearby is the world renowned Mill Creek Park.
Many Northeastern Ohio residents--and people from all over the world--attend to save money and end up loving the institution and its faculty and staff, many of whom have national reputations. Killer sports teams! World-class library, Maag Library on Wick Avenue!
There are great Italian restaurants within walking distance, and the downtown has been revived. There are live jazz clubs and great martini bars! Check it out!

The professors are the most knowledgeable, down-to-earth people I have ever met. College professors are different than high-school teachers; professors are interested in you, you as a person. Not only this but they are all willing to help, they want the best for your education, and focus more on how much you can learn instead of the grade they have to give. The man in charge of the Honors Program, Dr. Foreman, has a heart merely to listen to his students, and spread his knowledge to them, and makes sure to leave his door open to any student who needs to talk. The students and professors here are sincerely the greatest are slowly shaping me and my entire education into the person I always pictured myself being.
