Keeping yourself, or someone on their toes!

SCENARIO: Pastor Michael is about to drive by, Samantha ducks down in Mike A's Truck.
Mike A. Looks shocked says, "Are you okay? Like, what are you doing?"

Samantha says, " That's the Pastor, he can't know I'm here. He CANNOT see me! Is he gone!? Did he stop and turn around?!"

Mike A., "Nah, he kept going and turned at the next street."
Samantha quickly gets up and runs inside and tells Chris what happened.
Chris goes, " So you hoe checked yourself?!" and begins to laugh...

You know you know, but sometimes you don't know that you know; so you gotta "hoe check" someone to keep them aware of a situation.

A word that is used for someone attempting murder to someone who is too busy with his/her business, relaxing, or music (vibing) in a low distance to see how hard the target is vibing or showing dominance

The past tense of that word is "Vibe checked"

Me: *Listening to my music in the hood*
My homies: *behind me* "VIBE CHECK!"
My homies: *Hits my head with a baseball into my near-death experience*
My homies: "wow mate, you still vibing even with that condition, you passed the vibe check.

It's so employees can tell others to check out the hot girl without her knowing what we mean.
