In fact, contradicting most people's beliefs, he did not wear a bullet proof vest. This was even confirmed by his body guards.

but he showed so many the light.
it breaks my heart that he is gone.....and makes me realise that any of us can be taken away so easily......even a true lyrical genius such as tupac shakur.
'tears will fall and dry,fade into nothinness, but his memory, his existence, his music and his influence over others will never dry up and die. as long as his fans remeber him, or anyone touched by him remembers him, his spirit will live on.....soaring above us mere mortals.
i shed a tear for the wasted poetry that never spilled from his mind to his lips for the world to appreciate..............
