Art trade

A term commonly used between artist, mainly those on social medias between one another. It is the exchanging of art in any form (though more commonly on traditional media) between one another. Each artist fullfills a request from the other, when complete the artists will give the art to one another in an exchange of works. Both on the giving and receiving ends. With this mutual arrangement, each artist has gained the work of another in what they may deem as equal of value. Though, the arrangements of an art trade should be discussed if it is not with another who you have previously worked with, for some will abandon their end of the agreement only receiving and failing to deliver their part of the deal.
Person 1: I had a fantastic art trade with so and so on instagram, they drew my OC while I drew their dog.

Person 2: that's good for you, maybe I should consider doing an art trade with them as well. Just don't do one with so and so. He completely skipped on his part of the deal! He just took the drawing of his favorite MLP character then abandoned all contact with me, i didn't get my promised drawing of my skyrim character!

Person 1: The bloke! He's a real wanker.

Art of the Steal

The slow and steady amassing of wealth, done in an unscrupulous manner.
He used all of the white collar cons, such as bribes, bluffs, well-timed and profitable bankruptcies, inciting violence while posing as a protector of all-American principles, even ascension to the office of the US President, knowing that this last example is likely the most lucrative demonstration of the Art of the Steal.

Art block

A Code Red for artists when they meet the wall and all motivation to draw suddenly disappear in the Bermuda Triangle. Simply when artistic libido is missing. Common causes are either a burnout from being too active with the pen, or a lack of inspiration/ideas on what to sketch. Either way, it is an artists downfall which can be permanent or temporary. Forcing oneself to draw during an art block will always work against its purpose, and has the same outcome as when a propane tank is thrown on a fire.

Art Block

It's the worst fucking thing for an artist to ever encounter. It's when you run out of ideas to draw things off, and temporarily loose all motivation to do anything art related.
You'll often see artists on deviantART not post anything for a while, and then come back complaining of an art block.
Guy1: Why haven't you uploaded anything on DA lately?
Guy2: I'm having a serious art block.

Bitch1: Where's my commission I ordered? Why aren't you done yet (blahblahblah)
Artist: I'm having an art block. I'll be done when I can -__-

art poser

Someone who completely lacks any artistic talent or creativity whatsoever. Always talking about themselves and their "work", these people go to great lengths to appear as real artists. Art posers have never had an original thought or idea in their lives but act as though everything they do is groundbreaking and original. They always hang together in little cliques and are highly suspicious of any "outsider"--particularly real artists who might expose them for what they really are. The titles of their "work" are always pretentious and completely meaningless; for example, a grey canvas with a small pink spot in one corner, titled "The Juxtaposition of Random Gratification #109." The lengthy descriptions they give of their "work" consist of rambling pseudointellectual bullshit that took 25 times the amount of time to compose than the actual piece itself; this is to compensate for the fact that the work only took 15 minutes to make, with no artistic ability at all. Art posers are typically so delusional that they don't realize how delusional they are. Art posers always worship Andy Warhol and strive to be just like him. Art posers often stand around in galleries, pretending to find deep meaning in other art posers' work. They frequently use the word "ambiguous" and will spend half an hour offering a pseudointellectual analysis of a grey, or blank canvas. Art posers have been known to mistake light switches in galleries as part of the sculptural exhibit.
