To "home-style" something means to do it on your own, in your own way. To not depend on society and rules to help you out.
Joyce: Jim! What happened to your leg?!
Jim: Aw shit, Joyce! My cat bit me and I think the cut may be infected.
Joyce: That's the third time this week. Jim, you outta think about putting that cat down.
Jim: But I don't have the money to put her down.
Joyce: *hands Jim a knife* Then home-style it.

To be taught at home rather than the god-awful abominations that are public schools. Or, as all the definitions that are no doubt above this one say, it is a person who, do to living an "isolated" life, is a socially awkward person, an idiot with no fashion sense, or a retarded person. (I'm allowed to complain about public schools because I was in one for a while, by the way.)
Person A: I just got back from school, where I learned information that I already knew, didn't really need to know and wasn't interested in knowing about, and stuff that I just didn't understand.
Person B: I'm home-schooled, so I got to learn about things that I'm interested in, and none of it was overly complicated, so I had enough time focus on my interests and maintain a healthy sleep schedule!

When you’ve been in your hometown or staying with your parents for too long, usually during the holidays, and are the point where you resent or are sick of your family and just want to get back to your own apartment. People can have different tolerance levels before they get a home hangover - for someone it might be a week, or it might be eight hours.

Person 2: Nah, I lift at home. Not really in the mood for staying after to work out tonight.
