The, sometimes involuntary, brief peek at your Blackberry, iPhone or other PDA when you are bored in a conversation, group interaction, business meeting, movie, sporting event, etc. Has the same seemingly posthypnotic contagious effect as a traditional yawn.

Guy #1:"Seriously, did someone just call you guys, or was that a PDA yawn?"
Guy #2:"Sorry, I just lost focus when you were talking about your Bijon Frise rescue dog."

A boring place or event.

"I went to Allison's party last night and everyone was bored to death. It was a total yawn yard."
"The theatre for the premier to Jerry's independent film was a yawn yard."
Add emphasis to the scale of boringness by adding A's, saying a place was a "YAAAAWN Yard!"
