Morris Syndrome

A form of male pattern baldness in which the patient's hair appears to migrate from the scalp to the face, normally taking the form of a goatee beard, or in extreme cases, ginger sideburns. Morris Syndrome is caused by the word 'Morris', making Morris Men and Morris Marina owners more susceptible to infection.

William Morris

(1843-96) Activist group leader in England, and an Oxford divinity student who abandond theology and studied both architecture and painting after encountering John Ruskins teachings.

The Seven Lamps of Architecture laid out the principles of great architecture. When William Morris could find no house that lived to his standards he commisioned Philip Webb(1831-1915) to design what became known as the Red House (1859-60). A Medieval domestic vernacular. A very straight forward approch to to structures using his friends in collaberation founding Morris, Marshal, Faulkner, and Co. in 1862. Establishing workshops where artisans and craftsmen created wallpapers, stained glass, ect., using hadicraft techniques.

Alanis Morissette

A Canadian singer who has a powerful singing voice and has written some pretty amazing songs. Her most well-known hit is 'Ironic' and the album people remember her by is 'Jagged Little Pill'. Shame really. I have 'The Collection' and there are some fantastic songs on that.

Mother of Death - In the film Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013), during a seance scene, the question "What does she want?" is asked. Fifteen dice (with letters on each side) are then rolled out on to a table. The dice spring to life and spell out "mater mortis" - Latin for "mother of death."

morris cove

the nice part of new haven. absolutely nothing like the ghetto. close to east haven. but people from there are not from east haven. very hard to explain where you live when people do not know what or where "the cove" is. we need to make it known we don't live in the slums, or east haven.
