Urban Censorship

(n) a suppression of certain types of definitions without explanation on a supposedly free Internet forum

Sometimes new definitions submitted to this website become ghost posts; this is a form of Urban Censorship. One tends to wonder why a short and simple definition for one-termer was confirmed but never posted while a huge definition for Operation Iraqi Freedom that rambles on an on for several pages is allowed to remain.

censorship

1. stopping the free flow of art and ideas.

For those of us in the US we do NOT enjoy the right to free speech (even though it is in the constitution). The supreme court ruled in the Miller case that "obscene" materials are not protected under the 1st amendment and can be banned or regulated; translation: regulated censorship is constitutional thanks to a few activist judges who wanted the government to impose its morality on us. Basically if the subject or content is sexual in any way then whether its obscene or not is up for majority vote; they actually said if the average person would be offended by it and think that it had no artistic value (if you weren't offended by it or thought it was a work of art why would you want to ban it in the first place). This is why it is illegal to give porn to minors, because it shows sex even though this should be decided and enforced by the parents the government is getting involved. Also there's no law against showing violent material to minors, so basically its worse to expose them to consensual sex than murder.

50 Centaur

A mythical creature that is half horse, half rapper and cannot be killed by bullets. The 50 Centaur has recently lost a staggering amount of weight for a part in the upcoming Seabiscuit sequel that deals with the heroic horses' struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Man, have you seen 50 Centaur? That guy looks rough.

Payday for people that are too (lazy) to work, (not genuine people in need). Said people refer to this a (payday) like they have earned it. Generally doing nothing with their lives accept drinking their payday, smoking (weed) or Ice if they can afford it looking out for the motherload of compensation claim (compo) to top all previous attemps and, of course waiting for relatives to pass on for the money that is owed to them. Most of these fine specimens live in (the Entrance NSW).

Today must be payday, that soapdodging bludger has "centercachink" written all over his face and telling by the slab of Cougar bourbon and coke in his coles trolley walking home it is.
