Proxy Argument

Having an argument through a messenger.
So Sarah could say something to Steve than Steve says that to Iron Man than Iron Man gives a response to Steve, who then relays that to Sarah. Repeat to infinity.
After Iron Man killed Steve's dog, they got in a proxy argument through Sarah.

Cosmological argument

The cosmological argument is the notion that God created the universe and that there is always a cause and an effect. The three main parts to the cosmological argument is the uncaused cause, unmoved mover and possibility and necessity/possibility and contingency. There are 5 ways in Aquinas's version of the cosmological argument, however I'm only discussing the 3 that I stated as they are the main parts of the argument as urban dictionary only let's me type a limited quantity of characters.

Uncaused cause (4 premises and a conclusion)
• Everything has a cause
Every cause has a cause
• This cannot go back forever
•Therefore there must be an uncaused cause which doesn't have a cause.
•The uncaused cause is what we understand as God

Unmoved mover (2 premises and a conclusion)

•Everything that has been moved by something and that mover has been moved by something else.

•This chain cannot go back forever or movement would not have started in the first place.

•Therefore there must be an unmoved mover which isn't itself moved. This unmoved mover must be God

Possibility and necessity/possibility and contingency:

This one is simple. A contingent being is a being which needs a cause and a necessary being is the opposite meaning a being doesn't need a cause. It is believed that God is the necessary being who created the world.
Now that you know the fundamentals of the cosmological argument, read up the teleological argument (the argument from design)

Waffle Argument

When a sentence is completely twisted or invented during an argument.
Essentially putting words in someone's mouth to make them look bad or make yourself look better.
Person A: "I love pancakes!"

Person B: "So you hate waffles?!"

Person A: "No, stop using waffle arguments. That is a completely different sentence from what I said."

Cold-Fire Argument

A regular argument in which the general topic at hand is unimportant but is still treated as if it actually is in some aspect, usually by the person/people who initially sparked the conversation in the first place. In most cases Cold-Fire Arguments get extremely heated for no other reason for the sake of the discourse rather than the actual topic.
"Why did we even decide to go along with that whole conversation last night? We got nowhere I ended with a shitty feeling afterward."

"It was a Cold-Fire Argument, that's why."

Argument

Then, how did he celebrate Christmas Michael?
Hym "That's called 'No True Scottsman Fallacy' Michael. What you were going to say in response to that question. 'No True Scottsman Fallacy' Mike. That's also not an argument. So, he doesn't believe in Christ... And he celebrated Christmas any... So it isn't an option... It's a demonstrably True statement. Michael... Michael... If it isn't an incest cult, where did all the people come from? You have Adam... And you have Eve... We know how babies are made... How did you multiply 2 people into 9 billion? Incest. What do you call two people who share the same set of parents? Siblings."

Argumenting

Similiar to the word arguing but not interchangable, it's used to denote civil and intellectual discussions between people.
As civilized intellectual minds of society, we were argumenting, NOT arguing!

Argument from motion

Oh hey, that kind of sounds like my thing! Is that really an Aristotle thing! Ha! Wow! I am, like, up there (intellectually) aren't I? Damn. A genius after his time!
Hym "The argument from motion? I didn't even know that was a thing! I should read some Aristotle..."
